My Story
Hi, I’m Jen. After years spent raising my two boys and working as a registered nurse, I found myself at a turning point — rediscovering long-held passions for travel, food, and meaningful connection. With my children grown and a new season beginning, I felt called to explore the world and give back in a deeper way.
That call led me to Italy. While volunteering alongside local residents, I formed close connections with artisans and small business owners who poured their hearts into their work. I began bringing home simple treasures from my travels — olive oil, sea salt, jam — as a way to share the flavors and stories of the places that had welcomed me so warmly. Before long, friends and family were asking for more olive oil than I could carry home.
My love for food is rooted in my Italian heritage. Growing up, the kitchen was always the heart of our home — shaped by my nanas, my mom, and my aunts. From improvised meals in college to cooking for neighbors and friends, feeding others has always been my way of connecting.
Quen was born from that spirit. From my journey to your table, I hope to share not only exceptional olive oil, but the sense of warmth, care, and community that inspired it.
In gratitude for the place that changed everything, Quen donated 10% of 2025 sales to support Global Volunteers and their work in Castelvetrano, Sicily — and will continue to give annually. What began as service became family, and this gift is offered with deep thanks, for I received far more than I ever gave.
